CONTIGO AND NEVENTO SUCCESSFULLY INTRODUCE NEW ENERGY TRADING SYSTEM AT DB ENERGIE

Since November 2018, DB Energie GmbH, energy supplier and subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, has been using the energy trading software enTrader of the UK-based ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) provider Contigo. The new system replaces three programs at DB Energie. In addition to the usual applications for trading, back office and risk controlling, it offers comprehensive support in the management and evaluation of sales portfolios for industrial and end customers. Since the introduction, daily work has become much more convenient and efficient for users – there is no duplication of effort and portfolio managers have better opportunities to link data with each other. The resources freed up in this way can now be used to continuously improve procurement and risk management processes. As part of the pilot project, the software was adapted and further optimized, in cooperation with DB Energie and nevento’s specialist consultancy services, to the regulations and practices of the German energy market. The competitive solution has a direct connection to the energy exchanges and can be used on all energy markets in continental Europe.
